It’s been a quieter week on the maintenance and patch front, but the most important story of the week wasn’t a patch or an event โ it was Friday’s official developer notes dropping the confirmed final picture for Into the Dark. Season 1 closes Tuesday, June 16. Season 2 launches the same day. The reset is two days away, and this debrief covers everything agents need to know before it hits.

* Territory Controls โ predictable spawns, fast completions, easy to chain
* Propaganda Broadcasts โ multiple enemy waves, solid XP fallback
* Stay in Downtown East and West Potomac Park for highest activity density and minimal travel time
Build recommendations:
* Hotshot gear set with The White Death marksman rifle โ chain corrosive gas explosions on Heroic for maximum efficiency
* Bank Headquarters on Story mode with a Flame Turret or Airburst Seeker Mine โ fastest daily challenge clear if criteria include burning reanimated enemies
* Run Heroic with 4-5 Directives for the biggest XP multiplier โ drop to Challenging if clear speed suffers

* Exotic Cache โ 20 Stars
* Named Item Cache โ 8 Stars

๐ถ AGENT TIP โ THE AUGMENT REROLL CHANGE MATTERS
The augment reroll cap is the confirmed change I keep coming back to. On PTS the cost was climbing to 25 Prototype Cores per reroll โ which made chasing the right augment combination genuinely punishing. Capping at 6 cores from the 3rd reroll onwards changes the entire calculation. My plan for the first week of Season 2 is to farm Escalation hard, build a solid core stockpile, and then start properly optimising augments without the fear of burning everything on a bad roll. If you’ve been avoiding the augment system because of cost concerns โ Season 2 is the time to engage with it.
