📘 Glossary – SHD Tactical Terminology
SHD
Strategic Homeland Division — sleeper agents activated during national collapse. Your level is also referred to as SHD Rank.
Exotic
High-end gear or weapons with unique visuals and special talents. Usually build-defining. Examples: Scorpio, Memento, Ridgeway’s Pride.
Armor Regeneration
Passive armor restoration over time. Found on gear sets like Foundry Bulwark or via mods and certain brand bonuses.
Talent
Passive bonus found on weapons or armor (e.g., Intimidate, Unbreakable). Often core to build synergy.
PVE / PVP
Player vs. Environment (missions, control points) and Player vs. Player (Dark Zone, Conflict).
Crit Chance / Crit Damage
Stats that affect the frequency and impact of critical hits. Essential for damage-focused builds.
Rogue
A Division agent who has turned on the SHD — both lore (Aaron Keener, Manhunts) and gameplay (Dark Zone Rogue status).
Control Point
Strategic objective locations in the open world. Capturing them gives access to fast travel, gear, and support allies.
