Report Status: Hunter Mask Field Archive — Dual Encounter Entry

Focus: Midas Mask, Revenant Mask, Ivory Key #6, West End Pool Encounter, Trigger Conditions & Combat Tips
📋 THEMATIC OVERVIEW
🎭 HUNTER MASK FILES — MIDAS & REVENANT 🎭
Not every Hunter hunts alone. Midas and Revenant are a paired encounter — two Hunters, one trigger, one location, and zero mercy. Found in the drained leisure pool of the West End, these two require preparation, the right emote, and a willingness to fight on two fronts at once. This entry covers everything you need to find them, trigger them, and walk away with both masks and Ivory Key #6. Whether you’re hunting full mask completion or closing in on the White House ivory chest, this encounter is one you don’t want to go into blind.
🔶 LOCATION & ACCESS
Area: West End — Drained Leisure Pool
Landmark: Near the PTOAC Event Center, southwest of the Attic Safe House
Prerequisites:
Completing the “Relief Camp” side mission is recommended for full area access
No hard lock on the encounter itself, but completing the mission first avoids access complications
Environmental Cue:
At night the pool lights glow red — if you see red, you’re in the right place at the right time
🔶 HOW TO TRIGGER THE ENCOUNTER
This is a time-locked, emote-triggered encounter. Follow the steps exactly.
Step-by-Step:
1. Arrive at the West End pool area southwest of the Attic Safe House
2. Confirm the time is between 21:00 and 05:00 — daytime will not trigger the spawn
3. Locate the small platform (lid) in the centre of the drained pool
4. Stand on the platform
5. Equip the Jumping Jacks emote and perform it
6. Midas and Revenant will spawn simultaneously on the upper level above the pool
⏰ Time Requirement: Nighttime only — 21:00 to 05:00
🎭 Emote Required: Jumping Jacks — must be equipped before entering the pool area
If They Don’t Spawn:
Confirm the time is past 21:00
If the spawn still fails, exit and return in the next 24-hour cycle
🔶 COMBAT BREAKDOWN
What to Expect:
Midas and Revenant are a dual Hunter spawn — both appear at the same time on the upper level and push down into the pool area. Expect immediate, sustained pressure from two directions.
Both Hunters are aggressive and will close distance fast
They may share a health pool — check your damage numbers during the fight
High burst damage — getting caught in the open will end a run quickly
Flanking from both sides is common — positioning is critical
Recommended Build:
Tank or high-sustain build strongly preferred
Armour repair skills (Repair Trap, Crusader Shield) add meaningful survivability
If running DPS, bring a pocket healer or a talent with strong self-sustain (e.g. Preservation, Reformation)
Duo or group play is recommended — solo is possible but significantly harder
🔶 REWARDS
Defeating Midas and Revenant drops the following:
🎭 Midas Mask
🎭 Revenant Mask
🗝️ Ivory Key #6 — one of 8 keys required to unlock the White House ivory chest
About the Ivory Chest:
The White House contains a locked ivory chest that requires all 8 Ivory Keys to open. Each key is tied to a specific Hunter encounter. Midas and Revenant drop Key #6 — keep progressing through the archive entries to collect them all.
🔶 KNOWN BUGS & TROUBLESHOOTING
Loot in inaccessible spots:
If a Hunter dies near an out-of-bounds area, the mask or key may drop near your position rather than on the body. Check around you before assuming a miss.
Encounter reset:
If the fight bugs out entirely, a team member can reset the encounter. Solo agents will need to return after a 24-hour cycle.
Spawn failure:
Always verify the time. 20:59 will not trigger the encounter. Wait for 21:00.
🔶 WEEKLY REMINDER
⏰ Each Wednesday the SHD Field Archive drops a new Hunter Mask entry. If you’re working toward full mask completion or collecting all 8 Ivory Keys, bookmark the series and check back every week for the next field report.
