🔥 RED MIST PROTOCOL
Contributed by: Apophisdag
The Red Mist Protocol is a close-quarters DPS build designed for fast kills, aggressive pushes, and nonstop firefights. Built around Hunter’s Fury, the Chatterbox, and the Ninjabike Messenger Bag, this setup ramps its damage as enemies fall, letting you chain kills while staying mobile. The build blends high crit damage, SMG uptime, and Demolitionist synergy to deliver a deadly hit-and-move playstyle. With just enough armor to stay alive, it’s made for pure red-core pressure and momentum-based combat.

🧠 Tactical Summary
Red Mist Protocol is a pure DPS, chain-killing CQC build designed for Heroic speed running, CP clearing, and aggressive mission pushing. Hunter’s Fury gives you massive damage and sustain while stacking bonuses with every kill. The Chatterbox maintains uptime and lets you melt enemies extremely quickly in close range.
Defensively, the build keeps just enough armor (approx. 1.1M) to avoid being one-shot while staying firmly in DPS territory. The Chill Out mask and Ninjabike bag add a bit of protection without sacrificing red-core dominance.
The build excels in open rooms, hallways, and chokepoints. It lacks long-range capabilities and requires smart movement, cover discipline, and shield dipping to safely close distance. Played correctly, it delivers unstoppable forward momentum.

🎯 Playstyle & Strategy

Aim for kill chaining — the build gets stronger as enemies die.
Shotgun swap for armored targets or heavies.
Maintain momentum; don’t stall or you lose Apex Predator stacks.
In groups: let others start fights, then you clean up.
🗺️ Farming Tips
Hunter’s Fury:
Target loot: Gear Set (Control Points, Summit, Countdown)
Chatterbox:
Farm Hyena keys → Hyena chests → Exotic caches
Ninjabike Messenger Bag:
Drop source: Exotic (Countdown boss, Intrusive Mission rotation, Exotic Caches)
Chill Out Mask:
Source: Gila Guard (Named item) — named bosses, Global Event caches
🔸 PvE – Solo / Group – Heroic / Legendary viable
(You noted it’s not yet tested on Legendary — but it should work with careful cover play.)
