📋 THEMATIC OVERVIEW
Welcome to today’s Breaking News report for November 4, 2025. This report covers new bugs affecting missions and strongholds, persistent glitches in PvP, the launch of the Golden Bullet Global Event, upcoming Expertise Surge Event, new meta weapons, seasonal content roadmap updates, and critical bug fixes from the Trello board. Agents are advised to stay sharp and report any exploitations immediately.
🔧 NEW BUGS & GLITCHES
1️⃣ Empty Green Boxes:
A brand-new bug is causing those bright green weapon crates to be completely empty during missions and strongholds. These are not the normal black weapon crates—they still work fine in the open world, but are broken inside main activities. This affects loot acquisition during structured content and is currently under investigation.
2️⃣ Expertise System Bug:
The upgrade system is acting up, specifically affecting two chest pieces:
Hollowed chest pieces: These have been moved into the wrong “chest pieces” category, causing confusion in the Expertise upgrade menu.
Pointman named chest piece: This piece is now appearing under the Armadillo section instead of its proper location.
Both issues are confusing the category listings and disrupting upgrades for agents attempting to optimize their builds.
3️⃣ Cooler Glitch (PvP):
This exploit is still active in Conflict PvP. Players are using the cooler to gain unlimited specialization ammo, including rockets, crossbows, and sniper rounds. This is a clear exploitation of game mechanics.
How the exploit works: Players equip the cooler on their back, run up to specialization ammo drops, and open the specialization drop with the cooler in hand. This grants them unlimited specialization ammo.
If you see this behavior, report them immediately. This is cheating and ruins the PvP experience for honest agents.
4️⃣ Spotter Talent Issue:
The Spotter talent is currently malfunctioning in PvP. Its intended effect is only marking allies and giving them hazard protection instead of marking enemies. If you encounter exploitation of this bug, please report it.
🎯 WEEKLY EVENTS & UPDATES

🏃♂️ NEW META & APPAREL
⚡ Quick Stop Weapon Meta:
The Quick Stop is now considered the new meta weapon, and for good reason!
Stats:
+20% weapon damage
+20% armor on kill
This weapon has insane synergy with crit stats and is being widely adopted by the community. The creator of popular Quick Stop builds recommends using it with swap speed for maximum effectiveness.
Availability: It can still be obtained now—it’s located at the end of the Halloween project chain! If you haven’t grabbed it yet, make it a priority!
🎃 Halloween Apparel:
Sinister Shade outfit: The second apparel costume is now live and part of the project chain. This outfit was earned through completing the six-part Halloween 25 project chain
.
Houndsman bundle: Previously available for free through gameplay, this bundle has now become a paid store item. If you didn’t claim it during the event, it’s now a premium purchase.
🕯️ Halloween Decorations:
The seasonal decorations (basically spooky cosplay-style themed items) are absolutely brilliant! These decorations are fulfilling a need for themed seasonal events that had previously only been seen in the Chinese version of the game. It’s great to finally have this kind of seasonal content in the global version!
🧭 CRUCIAL EVENT ALERTS (EXPERT TIP)
📅 Expertise Surge Event (November 7–10):
This is a CRITICAL event for maximizing exotic components!
Expert Strategy:
Complete all 6 Halloween 25 Daily Projects during the Expertise Surge event to maximize exotic components
36 exotic components per character
144 total exotic components if you use all 4 characters!
This is an insane amount of value! Do NOT complete your Halloween projects early—save them for the Expertise Surge event!
🎯 Golden Bullet Event:
Starting Today! Get your builds ready for maximum chaos and experimentation!
🎃 Halloween Event Status:
Final week now live!
The Conflict XP event is still active
One week left to claim all rewards from the project chain
🛡️ ETF (ELITE TASK FORCE) & SURVIVORS
The Elite Task Force (ETF) is key to the next chapter of The Division, specifically the Alien Repellent Survivors content and the future of the franchise.
Application Status:
Over 3,000 agents applied for ETF positions
Selections are ongoing this week and next week
Members are being chosen based on community contribution, NOT performance metrics like SHD levels
Future Plans:
The development team is aiming to have some selected ETF members playing Survivors next year. This is a significant milestone for the franchise and community involvement in shaping the game’s future.
⚠️ BUG FIXES & TRELLO UPDATE
✅ FIXED:
The issue preventing Williams’ kill in the raid has been fixed. This was a major blocker for raid completions and has now been resolved.
🔍 STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION:
Ridgeway talent bug: The Ridgeway’s Pride exotic chest piece talent is experiencing issues
Sniper ammo/mag size issue after die resets: Players are experiencing problems with sniper ammo and magazine size after respawning
Summit directive issues: Various problems with directive drops and functionality in The Summit
Mini war hounds not spawning: The mini war hounds from the Halloween event are not spawning correctly in some instances
📋 NOT YET LISTED ON TRELLO:
Green weapon boxes (previously had Halloween items, now empty): This issue is known but hasn’t yet been added to the official Trello board for tracking. The bright green weapon boxes that previously contained Halloween-themed items are now empty, though this isn’t yet listed as an official bug.
