How to Find All 40 Hidden Bears for the Blueberry the Bear Commendation

Commendation Requirements and Key Information

Goal: Destroy all 40 bears in the Operation Dark Hours raid to complete the “Blueberry the Bear Merit” commendation and receive a call patch.

Timeframe: All 40 bears must be destroyed in one run of the raid.

Team Requirement: Only one person from the team needs to shoot all 40 bears for the commendation to count for the entire group.

The Missable Bear: One of the bears is described as missable. If you miss it, you will need to start the raid again. The section where the missable bear is located begins just after the Boomer room (starting around Bear 6).

Visibility Note: Some areas are described as very dark; having a pistol with a flashlight may be helpful for visibility.

Bear 1-2

Starting Tunnels and First Combat Area (Bears 1-2)

At the very start of the raid, run through the tunnels. Look left for a lit-up gated area. The bear is opposite that on the right wall, inside a dark pipe on the floor.

In the first area with NPC combat (where a plane comes by). Go to the right side where you can walk off into the back of a plane. Turn around from the ramp at the top, and the bear is right in front of you.

There are three bears located in the Boomer room.

Boomer Room (First Boss Fight) (Bears 3-5)

As soon as you walk in, right in front of you, on top of a generator thing.

Up to the left from Bear 3, on a structure in a building.

Head over to the donut side/donut stand. The bear is on the floor inside a box.

This area contains four bears, including the missable bear.

As you run through the area, look to the left. It is among the baggage.

To access this bear, you need to open a gated section requiring two people. A player must hit a switch on the outside. A second person needs to hit a button inside the room. Once the partner hits the button, the exterior button can be hit, and the gates will open. The bear is just inside.

You must look through the window from this area and shoot down at the bear outside. Look to the right, near some vehicles; the bear is on top of a crate.

Just around the corner as you enter the next room; it is in the corner (the room is dark).

In the next room from Bear 9 (very dark). It is on the right-hand side, behind the first clipboard.

These bears are found up top at the second boss area, before or during the fight (the second boss is where you hit the laptop).

As soon as you get into the door, go right (this is up top, before going down to the boss area).

Head down to the B side (this requires hitting the laptop first during a normal run). The bear is on the far side of B, near some barbed wire, just beyond a light metal thing.

Head directly across the room to the A side. It is in the exact same position as the bear on B side.

Note: This may only be accessible after the boss fight if the plane is down.

Elevator and Plane Wing (Bears 14-15)

Straight after Bear 13, turn around, go through the elevator shaft, and climb the rope. It is right in front of you as you reach the top, just beyond a fence.

Carry on across the plane wing. The location where this bear is shot is also where a backpack trophy can be found by searching a square interaction option.

Seven bears are found in this area.

Bear 16-22

Outside and Corridors (Bears 16-22)

After Bear 15, run through and go outside. The first bear in this area is right in front of you, up on an antenna.

Go down the rope. It is in the back of an ambulance; you are able to shoot it through a smashed window.

Spin around to the left and head toward a fallen-over vehicle.

Turn around 180 degrees and head toward a police car (past a little airplane monument). It is inside the trunk (boot) of the police car.

Before entering the next area, in a dark area (a pistol with a flashlight is useful here). This one is on the left side, inside a bin.

On the right side of the same dark area, right in front of you in plain view.

Continue through the doorway immediately after Bear 21. It is right in front of you.

This area contains another seven bears.

Hospital/Escalator Area (Bears 23-30)

Carry on through the corridor from Bear 22. It is to the left, among some bags.

Carry on through the doorway into the next area. It is right in front of you on some hospital beds.

From Bear 24, go left and around the back. It is hidden among other teddies (a pistol spotlight would help find it).

26, 27, 28

Three bears are found together. They are just through a door, on a desk right in front of you.

Across the room from the previous bears, before you go up the escalator. It is on a wheelchair.

At the top of the escalator, head to the right into the cafe area. It is quite difficult to see, underneath the counter/case side, on a table or chair.

These bears are part of the Body and Lucy boss scene (it is suggested to get the final three after the fight).

Turn around from Bear 30, across the room (much lighter here). It is on the left-hand side.

As you run into the Body and Lucy area, look to the left. It is not in the Lucy room, but the room opposite, on top of some barrels.

In the center of the room, up high, down among the greenery/leaves.

In the Body room (the side opposite the previous location). Pass the “for sale” sign; the bear is on a shelf there.

This is the start of the final six bears.

Approach to Razorback (Bears 35-38)

Continue on to Razorback. It is just through the area, on top of a flower pot.

Carry on around the corner. It is near some drink machines (a Lix drink machine), behind the machine that is lying down.

Found through the final terminal before you drop into Razorback. Run through the gate, take a left. It is opposite the cave, inside a little compartment.

High up in this area. Run back towards Razorback; it is up on the handrail above, near the sign that says “transfer terminal” (this one may be difficult to shoot).

These are the final two bears.

Bear 39-40

Razorback Area (Bears 39-40)

This bear can be obtained without entering the main Razorback area. Run to the open area where you drop down, near the restock station. The bear is high up on a speaker or similar object.

Once Razorback is completed (or during it). Head over to the left side of the area (from where Bear 39 was shot). The final bear is inside a small building here.
